Visitor Visa Checklist

Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned stay, with blank pages for visa stamps

Two recent passport-sized photos (35mm x 45mm) meeting IRCC specifications

If applying from outside your country of citizenship, proof of legal status in that country

Completed Application for Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa)

Required for applicants 18 years of age or older

Required only if using an immigration representative

Bank statements from the last 4-6 months showing sufficient funds for your trip

Letter from your employer stating position, salary, and approved leave dates

Recent pay stubs or tax returns showing your income

Property ownership documents, investment statements, or other proof of assets

If visiting family/friends: letter from your host in Canada with their status and address

Copy of host's ID, status in Canada (PR card, citizenship, visa), and proof of address

Detailed travel plans including flight bookings, accommodation, and activities

Letter explaining why you want to visit Canada and your plans during the stay

Documents showing reasons to return: job, property, family, business, etc.

Copies of previous visas and passport stamps showing travel history

Required if staying 6+ months or if you've lived in certain countries

$100 CAD visa processing fee + $85 CAD biometrics fee (if required)
